Architecture Under Constraints: Designing Systems That Still Evolve
PyCon DE & PyData 2026

Most systems are not built on a clean slate. They have legacy, regulation, organizational boundaries, and decisions that cannot easily be undone.

In this talk, I look at how to make architectural decisions when those constraints dominate the design space: distinguishing real constraints from assumed ones, designing around capabilities, preserving future options, and making trade-offs that remain explainable over time.

Why AppSec Fails at Scale (and How to Fix It)
OWASP Global AppSec Vienna 2026

Application security rarely fails because teams do not care about security. More often, it fails because security practices do not scale with the number of developers, systems, and decisions an organization has to make.

This talk looks at how to move AppSec away from individual heroics and reviews towards paved roads, secure defaults, fast feedback, and controls that become part of how engineering works.
